The coronavirus pandemic keeps exacting a deadly toll worldwide. The organism has so far infected over 2m people and killed more than 120,000, and shows no signs of abating anytime soon.
The United States has quickly become the worst-hit, with almost 600,000 cases and over 23,000 deaths.
In Europe, Italy and Spain remain the worst affected countries, with almost 21,000 and 18,000 people dead respectively.
