Covid-19: There’s now a total of 1,501 confirmed cases of coronavirus on the island of Ireland

The HSE announced on Sunday evening that there was 219 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland with another two people dying.

It brings the total in the Republic of Ireland to 1,273 with the government expecting a 30% increase daily from this week.

There’s 57% of men with coronavirus and 43% of women with the average age being 45.

Meanwhile in the north, there were 24 new confirmed cases today bringing the total in Northern Ireland to 172.

It means that as of Wednesday morning, there are now 1,501 confirmed cases across the island of Ireland.

Tragically a man died on the east coast of the country bringing the total in the south to 7.
