
The HSE announced on Friday evening that there was 709 new confirmed cases of coronavirus n the Republic of Ireland with another 44 people dying.
It brings the total in the Republic of Ireland to 13,980 with the government expecting a 30% increase daily from this week.
There’s 57% of men with coronavirus and 43% of women with the average age being 48.
Meanwhile in the north, there were 137 new confirmed cases today bringing the total in Northern Ireland to 2,338 with the total number of deaths there now standing at 176.
It means that as of Friday morning, there are now 16,318 confirmed cases across the island of Ireland.
