Three nursing home residents have died following infection with Covid-19.
The three people had been homed at Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home in Portlaoise, where a severe outbreak was declared last week. No fewer than 31 people were confirmed to have the virus.
Two of the victims died at the home, while a third passed away in hospital.
It is understood that a fourth person is currently undergoing treatment at a medical facility.
