British Treasury is reportedly considering giving every British adult £500 and children £250 to kickstart the economy.
It is understood that the Chancellor for the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak, will elaborate on the plans during a speech on Wednesday.
The scheme, deemed ‘High Street Voucher’ would see the money being spent only in the ‘right parts of the economy’, that is, sectors that would boost living standards and support critical businesses.
