Two new studies appear to suggest that the Omicron variant is far less severe than Delta.
The first study, which originated in South Africa, suggests that those people infected with Omicron are much less likely to require hospitalization. The second study, conducted in Scotland, offers similar results.
Nevertheless, fearmongering continues unabated worldwide, with multiple lockdowns and threats to intimidate and control populations that will largely be safe from serious disease anyway.
