The UK is reporting just under 1,580 new cases of the Omicron variant, with some sources reporting that a person has died ‘with’ Omicron, though it’s unclear how this person actually died.
Official figures say that there have been 1,576 new cases of the variant detected.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has refused to rule out further lockdown restrictions before Christmas, while it recently emerged that the British Government liberally engaged in Christmas celebrations in 2020 while the rest of the population was prevented from doing so due to ‘Covid rules’.
