Covid-19: Up to 1,300 jobs might be lost at John Lewis as pandemic takes huge chunk off its profits




John Lewis has announced that up to 1,300 jobs might be lost, as the Covid-19 pandemic has taken a huge chunk of the firm’s profits.

It is understood that eight John Lewis stores will remain closed after the lockdown.

The stores affected:

Birmingham
Watford
Heathrow terminal two
St Pancras train station
Croydon
Newbury
Swindon
Tamworth

Boots announced earlier today that it might shed up to 4,000 jobs.
