The US has now surpassed 11m coronavirus cases, the highest for a single country anywhere in the world.
According to the official tracker, there have been 11,025,046 confirmed infections, though health authorities believe that the true figure is probably far higher.
The massive number of cases is largely blamed on the Trump Administration’s abject and negligent failure to address the crisis properly from the start.
