The HSE have confirmed that Covid-19 vaccine appointments for 65 to 69 year olds will be scheduled from today.
In an announcement the HSE say that they plan to get through the entire 60 to 69 year old cohort by the end of May.
It is understood that over 85,000 people have registered for an appointment since the vaccine portal opened on Thursday.
Speaking about the roll-out HSE Chief Paul Reid said vaccines for the 65 to 69 year olds will begin from today.
He added that the health service is looking to complete all first dose vaccine administration in the 60 to 69 cohort by the end of next month.
