The Chief Clinical Officer of the HSE Dr Colm Henry has confirmed that 12 to 15 year olds will be offered the chance to receive their Covid-19 vaccine within the next two weeks.
Speaking to RTE News, Dr Henry said the HSE is currently working on a plan to open a portal for this age group.
Dr Henry said there are a few logistical issues to be ironed out before the portal can open.
He added that the HSE will also provide consent forms for parents as well as clear and accurate information on the benefits of the vaccine for their children.
