The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has alluded to fears that many people have that Ireland could indeed see yet another lockdown once the winter hits.
Ireland had the longest lockdown in Europe and one of the longest in the world but Martin seems determined to not open up as fast as the rest of world regardless of the majority of the public wanting to get back to normal.
Martin was talking on Newstalk radio and said that “the next worry will be what happens in winter time”.
As if fear hadn’t already been spread for the past 17 months, it would appear as though the Taoiseach is keeping that fear very much alive right into the winter.
