Covid-19: Wearing face masks when using public transport in Ireland ‘recommended’, but not mandatory




New guidelines say that wearing face masks when using public transport in Ireland will be ‘recommended’, but not mandatory.

As the country exists lockdown, transport authorities such as Irish Rail, Luas, and Dublin Bus will recommend that users wear a face covering, but it will not be mandatory, nor will there will any fine or punishment for not doing so.

Caretaker Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said today that he’d like to see Ireland ‘almost open’ by the middle of July.
