The World Health Organization (WHO) has said that the death toll arising from the pandemic might have reached up to 8m people worldwide.
Officially, the figure currently stands at around 3.4m, but health authorities believe the actual number is far higher.
The WHO recently warned that the pandemic is ‘accelerating’ this year.
