33-yr-old Paul Rajasegaram has been locked up for 27 month on five counts of making and distributing child abuse. The court heard this week that Rajasegaram ‘readily and enthusiastically engaged in conversations about the sexual abuse of children’ under his supervision, reports the Metro.

He was arrested in January 2018 after police visited the school he was employed at. Police also seized his laptop from his home.

Under the username London_boylover69 he boasted about teaching children in conversations with other paedophiles and shared a picture of a celebrity’s child, saying he wanted to rape him.

The offences started in June 2014 – the same year he failed to make it past the blind audition stage of The Voice – and ended in March 2015.

According to the Metro Judge Gregory Perrins said: “What you were viewing, sharing and storing were… images of real instances of horrific sexual abuse.” He added said it was ‘especially concerning’ that he ‘readily and enthusiastically engaged in conversations about the sexual abuse of children who were in your care… You will never ba able to teach again.”

Rajasegaram tried to address his offending by making contact with Lucy Faithfull Foundation child protection charity, which helps internet offenders and individuals at risk of committing a crime.
