The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported a huge increase in new coronavirus infections worldwide.
Globally, 284,196 new cases were detected on Friday, July 24. This surpasses the previous record of 259,848, recorded on July 18.
WHO bosses have said that the Covid-19 pandemic ‘is still in its early stages.’
