It’s yet more cronyism from Fine Gael tonight as it’s been revealed that Minister Leo Varadkar appointed two prominent former politicians and a Fine Gael party member to the Galway Harbour Company.
All 3 appointments were approved by Varadkar during his tenure in the Department of Transport.
To make matters worse, one of the appointees, former TD Paraic McCormack, did not even apply through the public appointments process but was simply handed a Directorship.
Minister Varadkar has yet to comment.
