Dublin march told: Suicide prevention needs more funding.

A group marched through Dublin’s city centre today, demanding that the upcoming budget make better provision for mental health services in Ireland.

Members of Action for Suicide Prevention met at the Garden of Remembrance and marched to the Dail, where they listened to speeches telling of the urgent need to provide financial support.

Particularly at risk, they say, are volunteer helplines which literally save lives every day but which must be better resourced by the Government.
