In a truly heartwarming story a three-year boy from Co Monaghan got to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming a Garda at Kilkenny Garda Station recently.
Little Ceejay McArdle who is tragically undergoing treatment for leukemia at the dreams of becoming a Garda when he gets older got VIP treatment recently as officers at Kilkenny Garda Station made him an honourary officer of the law in a special ceremony devoted to the brave little boy.
Little Ceejay who has won the hearts of many by becoming the cutest Garda ever, was visiting the city with his parents for a few days and was asked to the local station so they could give him a tour today as well as presenting him with a detective superintendent kit which included a hat and a notebook to make him a fully fledged member of the force.
The kind officers even let the heroic young man take charge of a “parade” held in the station yesterday afternoon.
