Cyclist remains in serious condition after a hit-and-run in Dundalk, Co Louth




A cyclist has been seriously injured after a crash in Dundalk, Co. Louth, reports Breaking News.

The cyclist, a man in his 20s, was injured when he fell from his bike and collided with a passing car on Castletown Road just before 2pm on Monday.

Gardai said the car did not crash at the scene of the collision.

The cyclist was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Dundalk, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, reports Breaking News.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Anyone who was in the area of Castletown Road, Dundalk between 1.45pm and 2.30pm and noticed any unusual behaviour is asked to contact 042-938 8400, the Garda confidential line 1800-666 111 or any Garda station, reports Breaking News.
