The arrival of Cyclone Fani has prompted the evacuation of up to 1m people across a number of regions in India’s east coast.
The weather system brings torrential rain and winds of up to 130km/h.
The situation has been deemed as ‘extremely severe’, with great danger to life.
Around 4,000 emergency shelters have been prepared ahead of the storm’s arrival.
