DAA warn people not to arrive too early for the flight as they say they airport is running smoothly again

There was another very busy first wave of departure from Dublin Airport this morning, but so far none of last weekend’s delays have been repeated.

The airport operator DAA had to take emergency measures when nearly 1,400 people were late for the flight last weekend.

Today and yesterday morning, 12 security checkpoints were opened at both terminals to handle the first wave of departure.

Waiting times for air traffic control in Terminal 1 peaked at 44 minutes immediately after 4pm. To date, the longest waiting time at Terminal 2 was 26 minutes at 4:43pm.

The airport has urged passengers not to arrive too early for flight and congestion services.
