Richard Bruton has been confirmed as the new Minister for Communications following the resignation of Dennis Naughten.
In an announcement on Tuesday evening, the Dáil officially confirmed his appointment along with the appointment of John McHugh as the new Minister for Education.
The appointments come after President Higgins formally approved the changes within the cabinet on Monday.
