Dail credit cards were used to pay €1,500 bill at Jamie Oliver restaurant and €17,000 K Club bill

Oireachtas credit cards were used to pay for a number of expenses over the course of the previous year, including a nearly €1,500 charge at a Jamie Oliver restaurant, a spending spree of almost €17,000 at the K Club, and €640 for TV licencing, reports Breaking News.

A working supper at a boutique lounge cost €1,000, while lodging at the Conrad Hotel came with a total close to €11,500.

Four credit cards are now in use, according to the Oireachtas: two are in the names of the clerks of the British-Irish Parliamentary Assembly and the Irish Parliamentary Association, one is for the Finance Unit, and one is for the Inter-Parliamentary and travel units, reports Breaking News.

The €17,284 that was spent at the K Club, or the Kildare Hotel and Country as it is designated in accounts, was the greatest single bill paid last year.

Representatives from Ireland, the UK, and its several island dependencies were present at the plenary sitting of the British-Irish Parliamentary Assembly in December, according to the Oireachtas.

In February of last year, Jamie Oliver charged €1,423 at Chequer Lane during a meal held in Dublin to honour the arrival of the Speaker of the Republic of Moldova, reports Breaking News.
