Dail off abroad: Government announces plans for its annual St Patrick’s Day programme

The Government have confirmed that its ministers will once again travel abroad this St Patrick’s Day in bid to improve trade relations between Ireland and the rest of the world.

In what has become an annual tradition, the Government confirmed that the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and fellow cabinet ministers will be heading abroad this coming St Patrick’s Day.

It has been confirmed that the Taoiseach will travel to Washington D.C., whilst other senior cabinet figures will visit Canada, Asia, South America, and Europe.

The Government say ministers will visit every EU member state capital, whilst others will be heading to Australia, New Zealand, India and Colombia.

However they have also confirmed that this year’s trips will be cut shot in order to facilitate Brexit negotiations on March 29th.
