There is set to be widespread unrest in the Dáil in the coming days ahead as it looks like Fianna Fáil will overwhelmingly vote against a Sinn Féin motion to stop the proposed pay increase for politicians.
It seems that Mr Martin and his colleagues will not back Sinn Féin in their bid to stop Fine Gael’s budget allocation for a €5,000 pay increase for all politicians.
It is understood that Sinn Fein who have already stated that they won’t take the increase, will submit the legislation early next week.
