There are widespread concern amongst school management bodies across the country as many feel there will be school closures after the midterm break.
Principles of secondary schools nationwide believe they may have to close their doors during the upcoming teachers strike action because conditions will become unsafe in the absence of personnel to supervise at break-times and fill in for absent teachers.
Although there are contingency plans drawn up that would see parents and members of the public fulfilling these functions, a number of schools claim it would be impossible for most of its schools to implement them.
The news comes ahead of planned strike action this November were teachers will leave their posts in a bid to force through better pay and conditions.
