The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that personal responsibility will be a key factor in dealing with Covid-19 in the coming weeks and months, in what some are saying is a way out for Leo Varadkar for attending Katherine Zappone’s hotel party.
Micheál Martin spoke after harsh criticism of a 50-person party organized by former Children’s Minister Katherine Zappone at the Merrion Hotel in Dublin.
The government has been accused of throwing public health guidelines out of the window and changing Covid guidelines during the event attended by Tánaiste Leo Varadkar.
Varadkar said he regretted attending the event, but said he was not against government regulations and “probably” not against Fáilte Ireland’s guideline policies.
