Darkness to light: 120,000 took part in walk this morning all in the aid to raise much needed funding for Pieta House charity




Thousands of people around the country have completed the darkness into light walk this morning all in the aid to raise much needed funding for suicide and self-harm prevention charity, Pieta House.

The annual ‘Darkness into Light’ fundraiser saw in the region of 120,000 participants wear yellow at 4am to complete their task by walking a set distance before dawn broke.

The event which is now in its eight year also saw a number of sport stars and celebrities take part including Irish Olympic hopeful Mark English.
