Arguably one of the most famous footballers of all time, David Beckham has been praised on social media for not using his celebrity status to skip the queue to see the Queen’s coffin.
Beckham said that when he was growing up, his family were lifelong Royalists and that the Queen really meant something to him and his own family.
He said that he wanted to pay his respects and that he started queueing up at 2am thinking that it would be quiet. However, David, along with thousands of other people, had to queue up to 13 hours to get in and pay his respects.
‘I was so lucky I was able to have a few moments in my life to be around Her Majesty
‘A sad day but it’s a day to remember the incredible legacy she left’
