Midnight tonight is the deadline for third-level student grant applications.
The awarding body, Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI), has advised students to not delay their application to ensure the grant is in place for the new term in September.
According to SUSI’s Head of Communications, Graham Doyle, they are expecting 20,000 further applications this year.
Mr. Doyle said “We are anticipating something in the region of 110,000 applications, and to date we have received just over 90,000.
“So we are still about 20,000 out on what we expect.”
