Gardaí in Cork have confirmed that they are not treating the death of a pensioner whose body was found at a house in the city last week as suspicious.
According to The Irish Mirror newspaper, the man’s may have lay undiscovered for seven months.
Although the man’s death is not being treated as suspicious, it is understood that an inquest will be held later this year.
It is believed that the man’s body was discovered after a neighbour became concerned for his welfare after he hadn’t been seen for some time.
