Delaney: I regret the embarrassment this entire issue has caused the association

The former Chief of FAI, now Vice President, John Delaney came out with his guns smoking in yesterday’s Oireachtas meeting.

He legally was able to avoid any questions about whether the FAI allegedly paid some €36,000 for his rent on top of his €300,000 salary.

John Delaney seemed genuinely sincere by saying that he regretted the embarrassment this entire issue has caused the association.

He was advised that he was precluded various questions – must to the blatant frustration of TDs who were left practically tongue-tied.

Delaney has a lot of support from Kerry, however, with Michael Healy-Rae having his back and thanking him for helping start a new football project that has been some 45 years in the making.
