Delta Airlines was forced to ground all its flights worldwide today, due to a system glitch which left passengers unable to check-in.
There are long delays expected in airports worldwide as a result.
The problem began with a power outage in Atlanta, which occurred at 2:30am Eastern Time (6:30am GMT).
In a statement, the airline said “Large-scale cancellations are expected today. All flights en route are operating normally. We are aware that flight status systems, including airport screens, are incorrectly showing flights on time.”
