The Department of Agriculture have issued an Orange fire risk warning as the threat of gorse fires has increased.
The warning comes as high temperatures and moderate winds have spread across the country.
In a statement the Department has warned the public not to light fires near forests or open land.
The warning will remain in effect until Monday July 1st.
