The message from the HSE is that the entire country needs to be vigilant after the Department of Health confirmed that one person died from coronavirus and 174 more cases of Covid-19 had been detected in the Republic of Ireland.
In an announcement made on Saturday evening, the Department confirmed that there are currently 26,644 confirmed cases in the Republic of Ireland and a total 1,772 deaths.
Dr Ronan Glynn, the acting chief medical officer said that the entire country needs to be careful to get out of this particular cluster over the coming weeks.
