The Department of Health is concerned after a large number of new cases were confirmed on Monday evening with 147 more cases of Covid-19 in the Republic of Ireland.
In an announcement made on Monday evening, the Department confirmed that there are currently 28,136 confirmed cases in the Republic of Ireland and a total 1,777 deaths.
