Derek Chauvin kept in isolation for 23 hours a day ‘for his own safety’

Former police officer and convicted killer Derek Chauvin is being kept in isolation for 23 hours a day ‘for his own safety.’ It is understood that he will have no contact with other inmates whatsoever.

Mr. Chauvin was recently convicted on all three counts he was charged with in relation to the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis in May 2020.

Derek Chauvin now faces up to 40 years in prison.
