A judge bailed former police officer Derek Chauvin for $1.25 million on Monday night Irisht time, or $ 1 million if he met certain conditions in relation to George Floyd’s death on May 25.
Chauvin is charged with second-degree murder, among other things, which has led to global unrest over social injustice and police brutality.
44-yr-old Chauvin said next to nothing during an 11-minute hearing in which he appeared before Hennepin County judge Denise Reilly about video surveillance from the Oak Park Heights state maximum security prison.
