Devastating: At least 138 worshippers killed at Easter Sunday services in Churches and hotels in Sri Lanka

Ruthless news from Sri Lanka this morning as more than 130 people have been killed in a number of suicide bombs during Easter Sunday services.

A further 400 people have been badly injured and are hospital.

In one church, St Sebastian’s in Katuwapitiya, north of Colombo, more than 50 people had been killed with pictures showing bodies on the ground and blood on the pews. The roof of the church has sadly been destroyed.

25 people were also killed in an attack on a church in Batticaloa in Eastern Province.

Numerous hotels saw suicide bombers blow up entire floors as people were having breakfast.

It’s clear that this was a very serious and major orchestrated act of terror.

It happened on Easter Sunday, the most Holy day of the Christian calendar when Jeaus rose from the dead.
