Disaster for RTE as Late Late Show figures continue to plummet

According to recent figures released by RTE, there has been a decline in viewership for the Late Late Show.

Last week’s episode saw an average of 131,000 fewer viewers compared to the previous week’s episode. However, a total of 395,000 viewers tuned in to watch the show on both RTE One and RTE One +1.

The show, hosted by Patrick Kielty, featured guests such as comedians Joanne McNally and Dara O Briain, author Marian Keyes, comedians Iain Sterling and Jarlath Regan, actress Ruth Jones, Tara Flynn and Sonia O’Sullivan. A spokesperson for RTE confirmed the figures.

The spokesman said: “Friday night’s Late Late Show was watched by an average audience of 395,000 on RTÉ One and RTÉ One+1 – with 32% of the available audience watching on RTÉ One. On RTÉ Player, this programme has generated 28,000 streams to date,” reports The Mirror.

“Across the Late Late Show social accounts, there were over 42,000 Total Interactions across the weekend with clips from the show getting over 1 million views,” the spokesperson added, reports The Mirror.
