A plan that was near the runway at Paris’s Orly Airport narrowly avoided being involved in a disaster after a man managed to get on board carrying a knife.
It’s understood that the Transavia flight was due to fly to Barcelona when the discovery of the knife was made.
One passenger posted on social media: “Flight Orly Barcelona !! We have been evicted for possible terrorist threat.
“We are on the runway and we had to leave all hand luggage on the plane.”
It’s understood that the man’s sister contacted the airport warning them that her brother was carrying a knife and was planning to “carry out an attack”.
