A spokesperson for the German supermarket said the service should be up and running and available for all third level campuses by the end of 2015.
Such novel idea was first offered to students at the Institute of Technology Sligo last year, and such service soon proved popular enough, so the retail chain plans to expand it to a further six campuses.
At present, the company is operating buses for students in UCD, Trinity, Limerick and DCU, and will soon start a new service from Dundalk Institute of Technology later this week.
In its present form, the bus collects students from their campus and offers them two bus runs to their nearest Aldi store.
