Disgraced former ITV weatherman Fred Talbot sentenced to a further four years in prison after being found guilty of sexually assaulting young boys during school trips




Disgraced former ITV weather presenter Fred Talbot has been sentenced to a further four years in prison today after he was found guilty of committing a number of sexual offences against young boys.

Talbot who is most commonly remembered for his stint as the weatherman on ITV’s This Morning throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s was found guilty of indecently assaulting seven young boys whilst on organised camping and boating trips during the 70’s and 80’s.

The 67 year old who was a biology teacher in Manchester at the time of the offences pleaded not guilty​ at Lanark Sheriff Court last month to charges of indecent assault that related to seven young boys who were aged between 15 and 17 years old at the time.

Talbot who used to present the weather forecast for Britain and Ireland on a 3d floating weather map that was located at the This Morning studios in Albert’s Dock in Liverpool, had already been serving a five year sentence for assaulting two other boys during the same time period will see his latest four year sentence added to his current sentence in August.
