Disgraceful: Dublin Fire Brigade’s ambulance loses wheel while driving in traffic

fire1

A Dublin Fire Brigade ambulance’s wheel actually fell off at 7:30 this morning when the vehicle was driving on the N3 in Kempton, Dublin. Dublin Fire Brigade said there was no patients in the ambulance at the time, but that’s quite irrelevant. The lack of servicing of this blatant major problem potentially put people lives at rish who needed the ambulance at the time.

After the same incident happening in Drogheda, Co. Louth last month, and the month before that – another ambulance broke down in the Windmill Road in Drogheda about 100 feet outside the gates of Our Lady Of Lourdes hospital.

These vehicles are essentially life-saving machines on wheels, the least the Irish citizens deserve is to have them serviced and performing 24/7.
