With the absolute disaster of Irish Water over the past year, here’s a “nice glass of water” poured from a kitchen tap in County Louth this week.
Karl O’Reilly from Drogheda posted the image to Facebook showing what looks practically like gunk flowing from his kitchen sink.
Karl and Fi have three small children who all obviously need and deserve clean running water throughout the household, but that has not been the case as Karl told The Liberal:
“It’s disgraceful what’s been flowing through the taps. We’ve three small kids who need to be bathed daily never mind trying to wash their and our own clothes.”
There have been numerous reports of similar experiences in the area with horrendously dangerous water flowing through kitchen and bathroom taps. All this comes hot on the tail of Taoiseach Enda Kenny claiming that the public “will be paying water charges” whether we want to or not.
Judging by the water flowing through the taps of County Louth, the government have a bigger fight on their hands that they’ve counted on.
