Police in Belfast have launched an investigation after ruthless thugs stole an iPad belonging to an autistic schoolboy.
Police the valuable tablet was heartlessly stolen during a burglary in the area of Meadowhill in West Belfast on Friday night.
The distraught child’s mother told reporters the device was “an extension of his right arm”. He is completely lost without it, it was full of apps that he uses to help with his reading and writing.” she added
Meanwhile a police spokesman said: “Police are investigating a burglary which occurred in the Meadowhill area of West Belfast during which an iPad belonging to a autistic six-year-old boy was taken.”
“This iPad was full of apps which help this young boy his reading and writing and daily routine. “The child is extremely upset at the loss of this item which his mother describes as ‘an extension of his right arm’. “Police are appealing for any information which may help with the return of the iPad to this young boy.”
“The iPad has a white front and a silver back, and a ‘Viking’ screensaver when turned on. Any information can be received by dialing 101.”
