The police were “absolutely disgusted” when a man hit two policemen and bit one of them on the arm just because they explained the rules for the coronaviruses lockdown. After responding to reports of a traffic accident in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, authorities attempted to tell the man not to visit the homes of his friends.
The man allegedly beat the couple of coppers and buried his teeth in one of the police officers who were on patrol and delivering Easter eggs to children. The officer went to the hospital on Holy Thursday evening but was released.
In a Tweet shared by Home Secretary Priti Patel, Greater Manchester Police Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said: ‘Words fail me when it comes to some people’s behaviour. This is shocking at the best of times, but during a Coronavirus pandemic this is just the lowest of the low. I trust the CPS & Court will now do what we all expect of them!’
