In a disgraceful act of vandalism the remembrance wall erected in Glasnevin Cemetery to mark the centenary of the 1916 Rising has been badly damaged after ruthless thugs covered it in paint.
According to the Gardaí the remembrance Necrology wall was damaged after vandals threw paint on the wall during on Saturday night.
Meanwhile in a brief statement The Glasnevin Trust, which maintains the historic graveyard, slammed the those involved by calling it “an act of callous vandalism”.
They added: “Glasnevin Trust is currently engaging with the gardaí on the matter and will not be commenting further at this time.”
