Dublin City Council have revealed that they are working to repair the statue of musician Luke Kelly after it was vandalised.
It is understood the statue which was unveiled just six months ago on Sheriff Street, was damaged after it was sprayed with black paint.
The city council say that they are currently in liason with the artist behind the statue in order for the damage to be repaired.
Meanwhile an investigation into who was behind the vandalism is underway.
I’m outraged and really annoyed that any person could to this to the statue of the great late Luke Kelly. pic.twitter.com/1fruwlnqXS
